What We Believe

At Coastal Community Christian Church, we are anchored in faith, united in love, and driven by a desire to share the light of Christ with all. Our beliefs are not just statements; they are the bedrock of our actions, the heart of our community, and the compass that guides us in our journey of faith.

Here, you'll find the core principles that shape our church's identity. From the nature of God's love to the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, our beliefs draw from the wellspring of Scripture, offering a foundation for both personal growth and collective mission.

Whether you're seeking a spiritual home or exploring the Christian faith, our doors and hearts are open. We invite you to journey with us, discover the depths of faith that bind us, and see how these truths can impact your life today.

1

The Nature of God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are co-equal and co-eternal, sharing the same essence and will.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

2

The Authority of
Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, authoritative for all aspects of faith and practice.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105)

3

The Person and Work
of Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and his ascension to the Father's right hand.

(John 1:1-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 1:11)

4

Salvation by Grace
Through Faith

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, not by works.

(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16-17)

5

The Role of Baptism

We believe in baptism by immersion in water as a commandment of Christ for believers, marking the moment of regeneration and receipt of the Holy Spirit, a necessary step in obedience to the gospel and the process of salvation.

(Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4; Galatians 3:27)

6

The Sacrament of Communion

We believe in the observance of Communion, or the Lord's Supper, as an ordinance given by Jesus Christ to be practiced by believers, symbolizing the new covenant between God and humanity as ratified by Christ's death and resurrection.

(1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Luke 22:19-20; Matthew 26:26-28)

7

The Reality of Sin
and Repentance

We believe in the reality of sin and the need for repentance. Sin separates humanity from God, but through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, individuals are reconciled to God.

(Romans 3:23; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9)

8

The Second Coming
of Christ

We believe in the imminent, personal return of Jesus Christ, which motivates us to live holy lives and to evangelize the lost.

(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 22:12; Matthew 24:42-44)

9

The Ministry of
the Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

(John 14:26; Galatians 5:22-25; Romans 8:13-14)

10

Christian Living

We believe in the call to live a holy life, to witness to the saving grace of Christ, and to serve others in love and humility.

(1 Peter 1:15-16; Matthew 28:19-20; Philippians 2:3-4)

11

The Church

We believe in the universal Church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the head and all baptized believers are members.

(Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Matthew 16:18)

12

The Priesthood of All Believers

We believe that every believer in Christ is granted direct access to God through Jesus, our High Priest, and is empowered to serve in His ministry and mission in the world, reflecting the priesthood of all believers.

(1 Peter 2:9; Hebrews 4:14-16; Revelation 1:5-6)

13

Evangelism and Mission

Describe your service here. What makes it great? Use short catchy text to tell people what you offer, and the benefits they will receive. A great description gets readers in the mood, and makes them more likely to go ahead and book.

14

The Sanctity of Life

We believe in the sanctity of human life, created in the image of God, from conception to natural death.

(Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5)

15

The Sanctity of Marriage

We believe in marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, established by God as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.

(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-33)

16

The Responsibility of Stewardship

We believe that Christians are stewards of their resources, talents, and time, called to manage them with wisdom and generosity, for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.

(Matthew 25:14-30; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7; 1 Peter 4:10)
